Jeffrey James Gross, a Unit Committee Member and Equipment Manager guiding the Troop and Patrol Quartermasters, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2010 while skiing with his family and friends in Flagstaff, Arizona at the age of 47. Jeff was born to Gary and Edna Gross in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to the Valley of the Sun in 1968 where he attended Shadow Mountain High School. Jeff started his aviation career as a ramp agent with America West Airlines in 1983, advancing to become a captain for U.S. Airways. He was very active in his church, Scottsdale Bible, as well as his son’s Boy Scout Troop and daughter’s swim events (also for Shadow Mountain). Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him but will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and servant of Christ. Family and friends will never forget his upbeat and loving spirit, willingness to help others, and diverse range of talents; his was a short life, well lived.
